Lift Testing and Certification—It is a Legal Requirement

Just as cars should be serviced and must have an MOT after 3 years, it is a legal requirement that vehicle lifts are serviced and inspected regularly. This is covered by PUWER and LOLER regulations and failure to comply is a criminal offence which can result in heavy fines, workshop closure or even prison. It will also void insurance cover.

Codi’s engineers are trained to inspect all critical load bearing parts on lifts and issue certificates as required.  It is Codi’s policy that all it’s service  engineers pass the GEA’s lift service accreditation test. See www.gea.co.uk for further details
